Cayo Cruz is a small island in the eastern part of the "Jardines del Rey" (King's Gardens) archipelago located off the northern coast of Cuba, in the province of Camaguey. This archipelago contains a few other well-known island resorts, such as: Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo (both in the province of Ciego de Avila), and further west: Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Ensenachos and Cayo Las Brujas (in the province of Villa Clara).
Cayo Cruz is about 32 sq.km (12.3 sq.mi). Several roads and causeways were built to link Cayo Cruz with Cayo Coco (through Cayo Romano, see image above), allowing easy access to the Cayo Coco International Airport (Aeropuerto Jardines del Rey, IATA code: CCC). Transfer time between the Cayo Coco Airport and Cayo Cruz hotels is about one hour.
